How Pace Is Calculated

Pace = Time ÷ Distance  |  Speed = Distance ÷ Time

Pace is expressed in minutes per distance unit (min/km or min/mile), while speed is in distance per hour (km/h or mph). Runners typically use pace; cyclists use speed.
